Daniel B. Carroll is president, CEO and owner of Royal Oak Industries. Carroll previously managed ROI’s Detroit Diesel Series 60 Cylinder-head machining facility in Orland, Ind. Carroll was named president of ROI in 1996 and has since successfully launched six new manufacturing facilities and led the company to a greater than 500 percent increase in sales. He previously served as Vice President of Sales for ROI from 1992 to 1996, where he was responsible for negotiating, launching and eventually selling ROI’s German joint venture machining operation in Summerville, S.C.
Carroll earned his bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.
Terry Fiscus is Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer with Royal Oak Industries. Fiscus joined ROI in 1994 as Manager of Strategic Planning and Finance. He was promoted to CFO in 1996. During his tenure at ROI he has successfully raised capital to launch six new manufacturing facilities as well as complete acquisitions on both the buying and selling side. Prior to joining ROI, Fiscus served as a consultant specializing in corporate turnarounds and growth opportunities. He was also a controller within the manufacturing sector.
Fiscus is a member of the Oakland University School of Business Board of Visitors, a member of the Michigan State University Executive M.B.A. Alumni Board and a board member of multiple early-stage privately held companies. He received his bachelor’s degree from Oakland University and his master’s degree from Michigan State University’s Executive M.B.A. program.
David Zonsius is Vice President and General Manager of the Texas Machining Enterprises division in San Antonio. Zonsius joined ROI in 1993 and has held several positions within the company, including Technical Director and Vice President of Engineering. With more than 35 years of experience in manufacturing, Zonsius is recognized throughout the industry as a pioneer in the development of hybrid production processes that integrate computer numerical control (CNC) machinery with dedicated equipment to yield both optimal cost efficiencies and quality assurance. He is involved with the Artist Foundation of San Antonio.
Jim Gerchow is Vice President and General Manager of Precision Manufactured Products, a division of Royal Oak Industries. Over the last 35 years, Gerchow has developed a high level of expertise in the materials and processing of complicated tight-tolerance precision manufactured components. He previously served as the Vice President and General Manager of Bronson Precision Products for 20 years and has been awarded patents for a number of his product designs. Gerchow began his career as an apprenticed journeyman toolmaker and rapidly ascended to a managerial role at ROI’s Bronson Precision Products division.
Larry Bosley is Vice President and General Manager of the Texas Power Systems division of Royal Oak Industries. Bosley joined ROI in 2010. Before joining ROI, Bosley served for six years with Chrysler as Senior Manager/Powertrain. At Chrysler, he was responsible for controls and facilities engineering for all powertrain plants and for execution of the Pentastar V6 engine programs in Trenton, Mich., and Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.
Bosley received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas, a master’s in manufacturing systems engineering from Auburn University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Michigan State University.
John Cowan is Vice President, Quality & Operation Excellence with Royal Oak Industries. Cowan joined ROI in 2004. During his career with the company, he has reorganized ROI’s business operating systems and has been a key member of various plant launches. Previously, he spent 29 years with Eaton Corp. in a variety of senior manufacturing, quality, and engineering roles. As an acknowledged “lean” expert at Eaton, plants for which Cowan was responsible received numerous awards for quality and lean manufacturing accomplishments.
Cowan holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Newcastle University in the United Kingdom.
Christopher Lievois is Vice President of Business Operations with Royal Oak Industries. He is also the company’s General Counsel, where he is responsible for managing all legal matters, including negotiation and review of operational contracts and business transactions; general oversight of the human resources department; and providing advisory assistance in Business Operations and Business Planning. Lievois began his career in 1991 with Lindahl & Gross, P.C., where he advised corporate clients in a broad range of business matters including general business, debt refinancing, restructuring and complex mergers and acquisitions. He became a name partner with Lindahl & Gross in 1998. In 2006, Lindahl, Gross & Lievois, PC merged with Cleveland-based McDonald Hopkins, LLC. As a member at McDonald Hopkins, Lievois expanded his business and M&A practice.
Lievois received his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and his Juris Doctorate from the Detroit College of Law.
Matthew Kroll is Vice President of Technology with Royal Oak Industries, where he is responsible for managing the company’s IT infrastructure, software and strategic customer process engineering. He joined ROI in 1994, serving the company in various operations and engineering capacities. Kroll previously served as a special projects engineer for General Dynamics Land Systems, where he was a key architect, designer and developer of its computer distributed instruction (CDI), enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and factory information system (FIS).
Mike Moore is Vice President of Sales & Marketing with Royal Oak Industries. Moore joined ROI in 2003 to lead all sales functions for ROI and enhance the company’s customer portfolio. Previously, Moore owned a successful manufacturers’ representative firm, which included representation for ROI’s Bronson Precision Products division. Moore has more than 30 years of experience in the precision machining and casting industries, which include key roles in operations management, quality and sales.
Moore earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Illinois State University.
Bob Hoy is Managing Director with Bronson Precision Products, a division of Royal Oak Industries. Hoy previously oversaw the launch of the company’s Caterpillar C12 block machining facility in Port Huron, Mich. He joined ROI in 1998, where he led the launch of ROI’s Caterpillar C12 head manufacturing facility.
Hoy has more than 30 years experience in precision machining, manufacturing and engineering for a variety of metal working industries.
Dale Zarzycki is Director of Operations with Royal Oak Boring, a division of Royal Oak Industries. Zarzycki’s career with Royal Oak Boring spans 25 years. He previously served as a Machinist, Project Engineer, Purchasing Manager, Plant Manager and Operations Manager. His familiarity with Royal Oak Boring’s various product lines brings added expertise to foundry interaction and customer relations.
Zarzycki earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Phoenix University in 2003.
Joe Zielinski is Operations Manager for the Royal Oak Boring division of Royal Oak Industries in Port Huron, Mich. Zielinski worked for ROI from 1970 to 1990 and rejoined the company in 1998 as Operations Manager. Before his return, he was Operations Manager at Norbert Industries, an aerospace and defense manufacturer, where he started and managed two off-site plants. In his previous role with Royal Oak Industries, Zielinski set up and managed the company’s first off-site plants and aided in the start-up of its Texas operations.
Zielinski is a veteran of the U.S. Army with extensive experience in industrial engineering and business management.
